We are excited to offer the course being facilitated by Maxine from Peritia Training.
This ITC course will be delivered over 1 day and is ideal for all those who are working with groups in the outdoors who wish to become occupationally competent in teaching and facilitating food preparation in cooking in an outdoor environment.
Topics include:
– The principles of food safety and of food hygiene
– Understand food contamination and controls in the outdoors
– Know how to store ingredients and cook food safely outdoors
– Special diets, dietary allergens, consideration when preparing and cooking food
– How individuals can take responsibility for food safety and the requirement to take and record food temperatures
There are 7 hours guided learning, 8 hours total qualification time. Successful completion of the award will be awarded an ITC Level 2 Award in Food Hygiene for the Outdoors
Start time 9am but please arrive at 8.45 as there is a short walk from car park to woods. Finishing in woods at 5pm.
